I do not have or use Apple products, so I do not know what is out there and being used. Lets hear what you "I" folks are using.

Well so far all I have to use for geocaching on my iPhone is the "Geocaching.com" app.
It works pretty well, as soon as it loads you have a choice to look up caches that are nearby your current location. You also have the ability to load a pocket query or look up a specific cache with the listing ID.
When you find the cache you are looking for you have the ability to log your find or DNF. You can even upload pics that you took while hunting for the cache and you can also drop a trackable that you have in there. Its really convenient.
When it comes to hiding a cache the best thing it has is the ability to map your current location. depending on where you are and the overhead obstructions above you, the accuracy can range from 230ft to 16ft. It is the only real tool I have to use, I am to broke to buy a GPS unit.

We use Geocaching.com, IGCT, Seek Cache, Geoseacher, PiGo, plus a backup handheld GPS! We've never NOT made a find because of our equipment or software. Cool
