| Grease Monkey is an add on for Firefox browser. By itself does nothing to your browser. What it does do is read special scripts that "Adjust" the way specific web pages look and can add functions that the web designer has not thought of / implemented / or simply may not like.
What does this mean to you, the GeoCacher: Well, there are a number of Grease Monkey scripts for geocaching.com I will list the ones I currently use, which is by no means an exhaustive listing of those available.
GC Gallery - Makes the pictures in a caches photo gallery BIGGER. Oh so nice on the eyes. GC FixLog Page Reload - Removes an annoying page reload when a log type is selected from the drop down. GC Friends List Enhancements - As stated, improves the "Friends" area. GCBBCode - Adds some BBCode help to data entry pages GC Bag-o-Tricks - Adds a few changes here and there. GC Google Map Enhancement - Adds some features to the GC Google Map (Very nice additions) GC VIP List - Kind of a friend list. You select people as VIP's, on cache pages, will show if they have logged that cache. GC Favorites % - Shows a percentage of Favorite points vs Times found for a cache FastGCUserMenu - Adds an additional menu (Configurable) to pages. Quick jump to specific pages.

If you use firefox, search for the grease monkey add on, you can then add these codes to enhance how the pages function. _________________ The fun is in the journey!

How well does Grease Monkey work for Chrome? I migrated to Chrome about 6 months ago from Firefox. _________________

would it be beneficial for hunting caches to have something like this? I'm pretty much in a rural area, with not many around, but this weekend, plan on going to Albany and visiting a friend who is new into the hobby. He and I both have Androids, and use c:geo. _________________

Colonel, Grease monkey and the scripts that are written for it, alter the way the geocaching site online looks and operates. It adds some features and the way you can see things on the site. It is for people that like to have more options/ control of how websites look and operate. So, no it doesn't really do anything to help in the direct hunting of caches in the field, just how you look at them on the front end on the website. _________________ The fun is in the journey!
